Nicholas Scratch was not born special; instead, the touch of Death marked him before his first breath was drawn. He was meant to be still born, but love changes the cosmic laws of universes, doesn't it? — It still doesn't save him. Time is granted, but how much is uncertain. He grows, loved, but with the looming certainty earth will claim his soul and bones. They don’t talk about it. His mother can't heal him, and every fever he survives is a reminder of it.But he lives, curious, content — Wondering the woods like it might be his last day. His mother holds him at night, and he can almost pretend all will be well, tucked comfortably in the arms of the one he trusts to protect him.That's where he dies. At the age of seven, Death holds his hand and walks with him. He is not scared. Why would he be? — My mother needs me home. He is peaceful, comfortable, and sick. It is the end of the story — A tragedy of Life and Death; a son whose existence was doomed. That's meant to be it. He is meant to be a footnote in his mother's story, the scar Agatha Harkness will carry for centuries.Nearly three centuries after being buried in a small grave, Nicholas Scratch wakes up.

The Body is bleeding in a half-dug grave, runes carved in its back and wounds deep in its body. There's bone power under its nails, dirt clinging to its skin. The first breath is painful — The second is agony. Every tiny movement feels like a fresh new stab. The Body moves in spite of the pain. Tired legs carry its confused owner to the doorsteps of the witch killer; Agatha Harkness.A few fundamental things are known about The Body;— The Body is deaf; unknown if born or lost when it was murdered.
— The Body is a necromancer and bone witch — Unable to control fresh bodies, but can form an entire skeleton if presented with one tiny bone.
— The Body sweats blood; after using magic, The Body grows easily exhausted and sweats blood. Unknown if it happened before death.
— The Body has no name, no gender, and no past — Nicholas knows, realistic, The Body was someone. But he has no memories of a life before its death, and it hurts his head trying to think about the person whose body he has taken over.
— Nicholas doesn't know who murdered The Body. It's a mystery.
— Because of his affiliation with Death, Nicholas sees Ghosts. They sometime touch him; hold his wrist, leaves bruises on his skin, a soft carress. He never knows when a ghost will be kind or angry.

Instead of dying at 7, Nicholas Scratch lives to be seventeen — Still frail, still sick, still clinging to his mama's skirts like a lost bunny. The certainty of Death still looms around the corner, something he never forgets.

The plane goes down, and he is forced to survive in the wilderness with the rest of the Yellowjackets.Nicky will not have an adult verse, but I'm very interested in exploring post rescue as well as wilderness verses.POWERS AU — Nicholas dies in the wilderness. Somehow, twenty five years later, he is brought back.
